WorkshopAsiaXchange Workshop
A working session led by Climate Asia at AsiaXchange, convening regional funders and CSO leaders on adaptation finance pipelines and the architecture for locally led delivery.
What We Do /
Bringing the people who shape Asia's climate response into the same room.
Why we convene
Climate Asia's convenings exist to do one thing: turn shared ambition into committed action. Each gathering is designed around concrete outcomes — new partnerships signed, pipelines funded, evidence sharpened, decisions made.
From closed-door roundtables of 20 funders to flagship forums of 300+ leaders, we convene the capital, capability and community that Asia's climate response depends on.
Flagship convening

Climate Asia's flagship annual gathering — bringing together funders, frontline CSOs and policy leaders shaping the region's climate response. Programme and partners to be announced.

In September 2026, Climate Asia will co-host a five-day convening at The Rockefeller Foundation's Bellagio Center in Italy, in partnership with Surge Climate Talent, as part of the Global Clean Energy Transition Initiative (G-CETI). Senior leaders from philanthropy, industry, policy, and workforce development will align on a shared strategy for supporting blue-collar workers in the clean energy transition, starting with India and building toward a model for the Global South.
The clean energy transition runs on people, but the systems to train and support them haven't kept pace with the capital flowing in. Renewable energy now employs over 16 million people worldwide, but without investment in skills, inclusion, and worker wellbeing, it risks leaving behind the communities it depends on. India's goal of 500 GW of non-fossil capacity by 2030 makes it a critical test case.
G-CETI aims to move one million blue-collar workers into clean energy jobs by 2035. Bellagio marks the first time this coalition meets in person to move from parallel efforts to coordinated action — working toward a joint action plan, a coalition charter, and a shared approach to mobilizing resources across sectors, shaping the path for replication in Indonesia and beyond.
